I used to take my car to a different location to be serviced. Not anymore. Hanlees Hilltop Volkswagen service department has single-handedly changed my perception about car maintenance, which was always a nightmare in the past.
The warranty on my car ran out a few months ago and since then I've had two major issues where I had to bring my car to Hanlees for service. (one was electrical; the other involved excessive carbon in the piping) Each time, I was very worried that it would cost thousands of dollars to resolve the issue; however, the initial estimate each time was only a very small fraction of what I thought prior. What I ended up paying in the end was even lower than the estimate each time, which was a relief.
The people who helped me were Steven Fabiani and Gary Byrne. Both were very customer-service oriented, kept me fully updated on the status of my car, stayed within the predetermined time-frames, and didn't make me feel like they were trying to wrestle a customer survey out of me. They also did a great job of explaining what was going on with my car in layman's terms, never condescending.
When I got my car back each time, it was shiny and vacuumed.
There was a prior review about there not being any refreshments. Coffee, water, chips, and fruit were available. There was TV as well. I needed transportation back to my house which was only a mile away so a shuttle was provided. The shuttle driver was sweet too.
I should also mention that they're currently in the middle of construction, so that is probably why the office is not yet brick-and-mortar.
I'm confident that I won't have to be back there soon; but, if I must - I am confident that my car will be in the best hands."
