Sometimes you appreciate good things more because of bad things. After being set on the new Civic and having terrible experiences with Honda dealers, especially AutoNation, I switched to the new Corolla S Plus. We bought it on Labor Day from Hanlees and the process could not have been smoother. It almost felt anti-climactic. Even though we had already negotiated the price, based on previous car buying experiences, there was the usual dread expecting pressure tactics to buy accessories or extended protection and so on and the process to go south any minute.
We test drove the car and loved it; it's plenty of a car for a comfortable commute. We waited for the paper work to be prepared (we had pre-approval from our Credit Union) and were done quickly, thanks to Finance Manager Jimmy. No pressure to buy anything extra. Octavio then gave us a tutorial on pairing smartphones with the entertainment system and various other controls in the car. Throughout the process he was very laid back and I was glad he was the one I contacted. Can't recommend Octavio enough. So far, after few days of driving, I'm loving the Corolla S Plus. And I saved a bundle by not buying the Civic.
